I'm now 14 months in from my full hip replacement with Mr Carrothers and have just completed the London Marathon and the hip feels great. Thanks to Mr Carrothers I can do all the sports I used to. Feels like a miracle.

I had a very successful right TKR in November last year under Mr Carrothers and felt slightly apprehensive about undergoing a left knee TKR four and a half months later but I am now 4 weeks post op and my recovery and rehab is going well. This time round I rented a Game Ready (gameready.co.uk) straight knee wrap which combines intermittent compression with cold therapy, and feel this has made a significant difference to my post op recovery with reduced swelling ,reduced bruising and reduced requirement for pain killers. I see Mr Carrothers in two weeks time for my 6 week post op follow up and hopefully he will be as pleased as I am with this early stage recovery. My right knee has held up extremely well during this left knee replacement. The care I have received under Mr Carrothers and Dr Mahroof has been exceptional I could not have been in better hands and highly recommend this amazing Consultant to anyone suffering with knee pain.

Mr Carrothers was totally professional ,very friendly , he explained every detail of the Total Knee replacement operation ..his support staff, his recommended Anaesthetist, were all brilliant …it was my first operation under sedation and they kept me calm throughout The operation was a total success and was followed up with excellent Physio sessions Cannot recommend enough I am looking forward to having the other knee replaced by him

Mr Carrothers performed a full robotic replacement on my right hip. from start to finish he informed me about my options and was very respectful. Mr Carrothers and his secretary have been brilliant all the way through the process and would like to say a massive thank you as I am now pain free.

This surgeon is not only the nicest person but also explains everything that he will do for you his skill is unbelievable and whole set up with secretary onwards first class organisation his bedside manner is excellent as is his post op follow up I would recommend this surgeon to anyone thinking of knee and hip replacement surgery
